Why Join the Verde Valley Wine Consortium?

Whether you own a winery, grow wine grapes or have another interest in the success of the Verde Valley wine industry, there are many great reasons to become a member of the Verde Valley Wine Consortium (VVWC). By becoming a member you will be contributing to a pool of resources that support:

  • Marketing Programs that build awareness of the Verde Valley as a premium wine region, ultimately stimulating interest and demand for Arizona wines and wine grapes.
  • Promotional Programs that attract tourism and generate traffic through Verde Valley’s wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, hotels and shops.
  • Education and research programs that help members to produce the best quality product and give the best service and educational opportunities to the community.
  • Legislative Support to protect member property rights, water rights, rights to farm, sustainability

ALL MEMBERS receive:

  • The VVWC online newsletter, The Northern Arizona Wine Country News
  • A listing in the Annual VVWC Member Directory
  • Members are listed on the VVWC website
  • All members are invited to the annual gala, social and educational programs
  • Discounts to participating local tasting rooms, restaurants, hotels and more

WINERY MEMBERS receive:

  • To pour at all of the VVWC consumer events
  • To advertise special events in promotional materials
  • Each member winery is given the opportunity to be represented in the wine tasting in the Verde Valley “Wine Trail Brochure" and to place a winery profile on the VVWC web site
  • Member wineries may be visited, as wine and travel writers are recruited to the area by the VVWC's media outreach program. These visits frequently result in editorial coverage for the area and its wineries. Based on input from winery members, marketing programs are developed and refined on an ongoing basis by the VVWC marketing committee

Level of dues is based on cases of wine produced

  • Future winery $100
  • 1-249 cases $200
  • 250-499 cases $400
  • 500-1999 cases $600
  • 2000-4999 cases $800
  • 5000+ cases $1000

ASSOCIATE and HOSPITALITY MEMBERS

Associate Membership programs are designed for businesses or individuals who benefit by the success of the VVWC and its wine industry members. Wine industry suppliers, community businesses, wine enthusiasts and those considering entering the wine industry are among our Associate members. Associate members are important to the VVWC because they sponsor and provide much of the volunteer energy needed to produce local wines. Associate members do business with Wine Industry and therefore benefit indirectly by the added strength the VVWC gives to the wine industry.

Hospitality Membership partners include; Restauranteurs, Caterers, Hoteliers, Innkeepers, Touring Companies and Specialty Shop Owners or any businesses that have an interest in local economic growth based on tourism

ASSOCIATE & HOSPITALITY MEMBERS receive:

  • Placing inserts in the VVWC newsletter
  • Networking at member events and initiating contact with prospective customers using their copy of the Members Directory
  • Associate and Hospitality members are encouraged to be active in the Consortium by volunteering to serve at VVWC events

In the event an Associate or Hospitality becomes eligible for participation as a Wine Industry member, the membership may be converted. Initiation fees are waived and dues are pro-rated for those members converting to Wine Industry membership status.
